Today is National Minority Donor Awareness Day. Minorities, including African-Americans, Asians, Hispanics, American-Indians, Pacific Islanders and people of multiracial decent, make up 20+ percent of the U.S. population but account for more than half the 102,000 candidates on the National Transplant Waiting List.
