BUTTERCUP BOTTLETOP™

Like millions of other people in the world, I want I'm going to write a book.  A children's travel book series featuring the lovely Buttercup Bottletop™ to be exact.  Oh. And her talking passport.  Cute, right?  Besides passports, 2013 - in my world - is the year of The Buttercup.

I'm sharing this info here on my blog to make myself accountable (mostly to myself) since I have been waiting for such a long time to get started (since even before November 2011).  And since I'll be in Paris for a few months this year, I figure that's as good a time as any to start writing.  I figure if I make a public declaration, I'm more likely to follow through.  That's what I'm hoping anyway.  We'll just have to see how this goes.  =)  Shout out to Patrick - my illustrator extraordinaire - for giving me a push and helping me hone in on the characters.

In the meantime, I'd like to introduce you to Buttercup and her gaggle of family and friends.  They're quite the lot...

Buttercup's first adventure takes place in Paris. #ohlala

This is Buttercup's cat Dippity. Where Buttercup goes, Dippity goes.

Meet Pinky Pineapple. She's Buttercup's BFF.

Awww. And this is the lovestruck VIctor Valentino. My, how he lovesssss him some Buttercup.

And the Paris Métro is where Buttercup meets the fabulous Fifi Foulet.

Miss Wander is Buttercup's entrusted caretaker and nanny. I wonder what she's carrying in that pouch?
