Race in Hollywood

Tuesday, May 04, 2010
Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has done it again!  Starting tonight (May 4), TCM host Robert Osborne will be joined by Professor Hanay Geiogamah, director of the American Indian Studies Center at UCLA, in a series (Race in Hollywood:  Native American Images on Film) that critically examines Native Americans in film throughout Hollywood history.  Past editions of TCM's Race in Hollywood series explored how Hollywood has portrayed African Americans (2006), Asians (2008), and Latinos (2009).  In addition, TCM explored Hollywood's depiction of gay images in film (2007).
