::::: Rubbing my hands together & snickering :::::  I love a contest and I love giving things away!  So when I won a new HD Flip mini video camera from the Johnson & Johnson Legacy of Caring booth at BlogHer 2010 this summer, I knew immediately that I wanted to come up with a Browngirlicious way to give it away to one of you fabulous OBG advocates (since I already have one of my own).  Fa la la!
I'm thrilled to be getting some judging help from Brown Girl traveler Kiratiana Freelon, author of  Kiratiana's Travel Guide to Black Paris: Get Lost and Get Found.  We both share a passion for travel, culture and bee-yoot-ee-ful images, so check out the rules of the contest on the video (and/or see text below) and good luck!

OBG'S PHOTO ESSAY CONTEST
Theme:  Brown is beautiful.  =)
1.  Using no more than 8 and no less than 5 photos and without any descriptive captions, create a Photo Essay (on Flickr, Shutterfly or the like) using mind-blowing, earth shattering, fabulous photos that most accurately and creatively depict the theme "Brown is Beautiful".  If you're a blogger, you can simply post the photos to your blog and send in the link to your post!
2.  All photos must have their source displayed below each photograph.
3.  Submit the link to your original Photo Essay to PhotoEssayContest@OneBrownGirl.com along with your full name, email contact, city and state, on or before midnight PST on November 20, 2010.  By submitting your link, you acknowledge and agree that OBG LLC and its affiliates will have the right to publicize your work in any way.  Winners will be announced no later than December 15, 2010.  1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will win an autographed copy of Kiratiana's Travel Guide to Black Paris: Get Lost and Get Found!  Oh yeah, the 1st Prize Winner will get the Flip!  =)
"Make it work!" -Tim Gunn
4.  Only one entry per person and this is your chance to be creative!  You already know this; but I'll say it anyway:  You don't have to be a Brown Girl to enter.  You just have to love & appreciate culture!  So in the words of Tim Gunn:  "Make it work!"
