As the principal of a movement that takes a positive spin on cultural expression, it is my hope and heartfelt intention to inspire all Brown Girls everywhere to greatness in some small way. I love absolutely everyone and my brand's point of view and all that OBG LLC has to offer will always come from a global perspective and a place of kindness and love.
I don't buy in to the idea of separating to celebrate and I don't get the whole "color thing" twisted either since being Brown isn't about how brown our skin is or isn't. For me, it's simply about cultural identity and pride and feeling good about the skin we're in! #holla
The bottom line is that every article I write, every travel experience I have, and every adventure or event I put together is meant to educate, uplift and enlighten folks worldwide about the beauty of the world and its different Brown Girl cultures. OBG is a feel good brand, and like the CEO of SCORE said, "The time is right for [OBG]." I sincerely believe that too...
Cheers to life, everyone! Celebrate yourself. I know I will...
